The Montana State Fund on Tuesday announced the hiring of Holly O’Dell from Oregon’s State Accident Insurance Fund Corporation to serve as president and CEO.

Ms. O’Dell succeeds Laurence Hubbard, who in January announced his retirement after 33 years with the company and 19 years as its CEO.

Most recently, Ms. O’Dell served as vice president of strategic and legal services and general counsel at SAIF Corp., where she has spent the last 17 years. Ms. O’Dell is also a registered nurse and prior to her legal career, spent five years working with low-income women in the women’s unit at the Marion County Health Department while earning her law degree.

Ms. O’Dell will assume her new role in MSF’s Helena office in May.
